What is Blah's World?
What is Blah's World?
Blah's World is a place that I set up to be able to post whatever was going on in my world. I originally thought I would be able to keep up with both my blogs and post things weekly, if not daily. I really want this blog to be a place where I can document my everyday life. But my everyday life got in the way. Since I have become a stay at home mom, there have been a lot of changes in my life that I did not always know how to cope. In the past the stress has caused me to start loosing my hair, breaking out in hives, and severe anxiety attacks. I really need to a place where I can sit back and let it all out. So often I hold it all in, I have so many blessings that I feel guilty that I cannot handle the things that life hands out to me. I need a place that is mine where I can share what is going on with me. Plus I want a place where I can look back and see how blessed and gifted my family is.
So then, who is Blah?
I am a 40 something year old mom to four of the most handsome little men in the world who finds comfort in coffee and couponing. I use to teach 7th grade, but now I am home with my boys. My oldest (teenager) and my #2 (grade school) have been diagnosed with Autism. My #3 is a preschool dropout and is extremely emotional. He is also very sensitive and struggles with concepts that my two oldest grasped so easily. #4 is just a baby, so I have a lot going on...to say the least.
This year, I designed a logo for my life. This is the year I want to work hard on some goals. Last year, I made a vision board and it helped me focus, This year I designed a logo. I felt like there was power in "branding" myself. I wanted my logo to reflect who I am as well as represent some of my goals. I have to change the way I eat, and hopefully lose some weight while making healthier choices. I also want to share my thoughts and creativity with those who share similar interests. There is a lot I would like to accomplish this year and I am willing to work hard. Plus, I know God has my back.
If this blog is mainly for you, why should I follow you? Or why do you promote your blog on social network?
I would love to have you come along with me on this journey, but that is up to you. It is my hope that we can inspire each other to be the best that we can be at that moment. I cannot guarantee that I won't go on hiatus again or that I will post anything useful to you or that I will respond to every comment and question, but I know there is strength in numbers. So you can follow me or just check back in every so often to see what is going on in Blah's World.
Occasionally, I will post things to Pintrest to share with my fellow addicts...I mean Pinners since that is where I go to search out ideas and inspiration. I am not a Facebook person even though I do have a Facebook account. I am sure I will post my "Why I Dislike Facebook" rant at some point. However, I use my account for coupons and other Facebook exclusive offers. I love a bargain and need to stay in touch with my couponing peeps so I do not miss a deal.
*****Please know that I have my comments moderated. I have 4 busy boys and busy schedule, so I am not always able to answer or respond to comments. Sorry!! I hope you understand.

Baby Shower Center Pieces
This is my most viewed post from my other blog!
A lady I work with asked if I would make the centerpieces for a baby shower she is hosting for a friend. Since I haven't posted in a very long time, I thought I would put the pictures up. The turned out AMAZING!! The flowers are actually pens.
Recipe:
Fake Flowers Roses-Hobby Lobby
Floral Tape- Walmart
Pens- Office Max or Sam's Club
Glass Rocks- Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby
Vases- JoAnn's
Pink Ribbon with Wire-Walmart
Baby Shower Signs- Wild Card Cricut Cartridge
Stickles-Michael's
Red Sticky Strip- Michael's
Once you have found your flowers, hopefully you got them on sale or used a coupon, cut the flowers off the bunch using wire cutters. Make sure you have at least 3 inches of stem, so that you can attach the flowers to the pens with ease. Cut off any extra baby's breath or small flowers, so that you may use it for added decoration (the small white flower are just placed in the vase to help fill out space).
Use the floral tape and wind it around the pen attaching the flowers to the top. Make as many as you would like. I made 12 per vase, so that each person at the table(8) could take one pen and the person who won the centerpiece could have 5 pens in their vase for their desk at work or home.
Add the decorative rocks at the bottom of each vase.
Add ribbon using red sticky strip.
Add decorative sign.

My First Official Crop...Well at Least My First Crop not at Archivers
The Achievers in my area closed a few years ago. My BFF and I would love to go there, but with 3 kids each now it impossible for us to find the time to plan a crop. Fortunately, my oldest son's school had their annual scrapbooking crop. I did not go last year (sad face). But this year we did everything to allow for me to be able to attend. Here was my set up and a few things that I worked on.
Next year, I will be more prepared. I will not bring everything I own. Hee! Hee!
Then I saw a baby card On this site that I wanted to make as an embellishment for a scrapbook page. I love how it turned out. I post the finished page soon.

I saw these adorable turkeys on Pinterest (of course). If you would like to see the posts that inspired me...Click here or Here. I adapted them to suit my needs. They were easy to make once I figured out what I wanted to do, but they take a lot more time than I had budgeted for the crop. So I only made enough for my family coming on Thursday. I did not have time to make any for my son's class. We will see how the week goes, but it is not looking good.

Here We Go Again...
I am ready to re-start my blog. A ton has changed since 2009. I would like to start my blog again, but I do not want to limit it to just the Cricut and paper crafting, so I am going to combine my other blog with this one. This post and the next few posts will be the transferred posts from my other blog.
Hello Fellow Pinners and Crafters! My first Pinterest Project is complete! I created the ever so popular Teacher Toolbox. Here is the Pin that inspired my creation. If you do a search on Pinterest for "Teacher Toolbox" you will find several for Pinspiration.
I bought my box at Home Depot; it was around $17. Since I have a little baby and I am all about the shortcuts, I decided not to repaint it like many people chose to do. Plus I actually like grey.
So here is a look at the front.
I added some cheap vinyl decals that I bought at JoAnns last year on clearance. I was going to use my Cricut, but I am trying to use the stuff I buy and hoard.
I created custom labels using Microsoft Word. There are so many creative crafters out there that have labels on their blogs as freebies and on Teachers pay Teachers but none of them matched what I wanted.
If I was to make another one...which I am not...but if I did I would try to match up the colors with decals.

CHA 2010 Robyn, Karlee, and Emma
Wow! You would think I met the President of the United States as excited as I was to meet Robyn (The Pink Stamper), Karlee (Karlee Krafts) , and Emma (My Creative Time). It is so weird, but I feel like I've known them forever like the were old friends. All three were so down to Earth, and so excited to see everyone.
Robyn was at the Custom Crops Booth promoting her new video Cricut Volume 3 and her lovely line of stamps. Karlee was there too. There was this young girl who made Robyn a very cute card, Robyn was so touched. I thought she was going to cry...she spent some time talking to the girl and her family. She also gave the girl one of her stamp sets. I was extremely impressed by how genuine Robyn was, and how she took the time out to make that young girl's day.
The Custom Crops Booth has some WONDERFUL products at a great price. Plus they had a raffle for some of Robyn's products, Cricut Cartridges, and some new products being released soon. I didn't win anything, but it was fun just to hang out at the booth. I finally got my George Basic Shapes Cartridge, the Crafter's Companion adhesive and remover for the mats, and My Pink Stamper's Fruits & Veggie Puns Stamps. I also made this cute card.
*************************************************
Emma was at the Peachy Keen Stamps Booth promoting her new Gypsy Magic Video, and showcasing her amazing work as a Peachy Keen Stamp Designer. I have to say the pictures on her blog and videos do not do her work justice. Her work in person is breathtaking. The little details she adds to make it special...you just cannot see it in a picture. Emma was so sweet giving everyone hugs, and taking pictures. I was overwhelmed that I go to meet Emma too! It is so nice to meet the people who inspire you. Thank you!
I went a little overboard at the Peachy Keen Stamps Booth. I got the penguin and the kitty Cottage Cuts, along with some of their stamp sets that Emma uses on her projects. I cannot wait to use the stamp set for the Zooballoo cartridge. Peachy Keen Stamps had some of there stamps on clearance too...so I hit the clearance bin a little hard too. You only live once.
I am going back today. I still have more to post from yesterday, and hope to have more today! Thanks for visiting me!

3 New Cards
Here are 3 cards I made before I left for Virginia for the weekend. One of them was inspired by my BFF. She made a very simullar card for a friend of hers. I loved it so much I had to make one myself.
Our trip was an adventure...Of course our flight was delayed. We were stuck on the runway for over 2 hours. Then we had to turn around and refuel. Plus they had to let us off the plan in order to avoid a fine. Thanks be to God we arrived safely and had an amazing trip. The flight home was good...no delays. I am happy to be home, and I able to post these for you. I hope you enjoy.
